RE: IBM was a multinational 384 country MONOLITHIC BEAST with revenues LARGER than the GNP of most countries, and over 250,000 employees, yet tiny little $500,000 microsoft beat them, who has brainwashed you? For the record, IBM has 5X revenues of MSFT. MSFT has not even come close to beating them. What they did was to capitalize on IBM's lack of vision in the PC market. IBM has since rectified that problem, and they are a formidable MSFT competitor. Check out the presence in the high performance internet server market. You will not find MSFT anywhere around. Check out the emerging NC market and Java desktop market (no MSFT).
