Zeev: Don't worry, I won't short your precious darlings. But I Do remember 1982 when Merck was cheap and people had lost so much money on mutual funds that NOBODY wanted it, I was sternly advised by older coworkers not to buy stocks because it was DANGEROUS. Now you're telling me that it's DANGEROUS to assume that stocks with the highest prices in history won't go down. Get a reality check, fast. China doesn't want U.S. multinationals, it wants Chinese multinationals.
India can make pharmaceuticals for a hundreth the cost of Merck.
Merck is frequently used in b-schools as a case study for a mature company with nowhere to go but down. But a long slow death.
BTW what do you think of TEVIY: she's hit the bottom of her trading range.
