Jane; Jesus was the Messiah promised to ALL races not just the Jews. The Jews are no better than any other culture God loves all of us equally. I hope you are not thinking that Jesus was just promised to the Jews that is not what I am saying, the New Covenant is the shedding of his blood for all races. The Old Testament I feel strongly describes his coming and suffering for our sins and that's all. Alan

Good morning Jane, One thing I feel a need to defend on this thread is the teaching that this is the promised Messianic age and Gods rejection of Israel as a nation. He made this Nation and called them apart I don't believe it was for nothing. Last night as I was thinking of Christmas I thought of what Simeone said to Joseph and Miriam as they brought Yeshua to be circumcised:Luke 2:29-35 Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation which you have prepared in the sight of all people, a light of revelation to the Gentiles and for GLORY to your people Israel. The childs father and mother marveled at what was said about Him. Then Simeon blessed them and said to Miriam His mother, "This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel and to be a sign that will be SPOKEN AGAINST, so that the THOUGHTS of MANY HEARTS WILL BE REVEALED. And a sword will pierce your own soul too. How could He be the Glory of Israel if there is no Nation or people still. This is the false doctrine that has caused alot of bloodshed and the hearts of many to be revealed as unloving. Alan and I are more conmcerned about the bad doctrine than anything else. This is not yet the earthly Kingdom of Yeshua. The lion and the lamb will lie down together and infants can lay with snakes, I don't see anything that resembles the promises of God, of the Messianic age now. The scriptures state this is the time of the Gentiles and you can clearly see the Church as the fullfilmant of that prophesy. That is exciting because we have so much to look forward to. When the scriptures are misinterpreted it leads to traps like Emile will experience to make it fit into your plan not Gods. The thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. Nancy P.S.
