I guess this article explains who the "big seller" was last week:
(but I don't think that company is going bankrupt any time soon)

From smartmoney interarctive:

YES, YOU REALLY CAN lose money in technology -- even if
you don't own tech stocks directly. Proving that point again
this week was the Merrill Technology Fund (MBTCX),
which we profiled last Friday when it gained the dubious
distinction of all-around loser fund of that week.

Merrill Tech lost another 10.5% this week thanks to its
highly concentrated bets. Creative Technology (CREAF),
a company that makes PC sound cards and multimedia
upgrade kits, made up a maddening 30.3% of the fund's
portfolio as of the end of November, according to Lipper
Analytical Services. The company is down 33% since then,
including a 5.5% drop Friday that isn't reflected in the
weekly mutual fund figures.

Mark, yes, I just called IR. They confirmed that this was the "industry wowing announcement."

This would be the first company I ever heard of that has 3-400 mil. in the bank, bought up 3 companies with cash, and went bankrupt in the same month. Get real!
