Is the gold restricted to one lithology.

# No, it is in the Volcanics (Alumbre Zone) and the Chimu sediments.

What is the age range of the mineralized lithologies?

# " The area surrounding the Virgen claims is underlain by a repetitious sequence of sedimentary rocks belonging to the Jurassic to early Cretaceous Goyllarisquizga Group, overlain and intruded by a Tertiary sequence of intermediate to felsic subaerial volcanics and related intrusive rocks, the Calipuy Volcanics. The sedimentary sequence has been subdivided into six formations. The lowermost of these formations, the Chimu Formation, comprises well-bedded sandstones, quartz arenites, and quartz arenite breccias, with carbonaceous mudstone intervals. The formation varies in thickness between 80 and 600 metres."

Are all of the sediments brecciated?

# The sediments are on occasion massive, and where so, not mineralized. The Breccia that is cemented with hematite is mineralized with very fine leachable gold in bottle roll tests.

Have they drilled from older sediments (on top?) into younger intrusives and maintained values.

# That is a good question.

Is there a porphryitic source that remains undiscovered?

# There are several felsic porphyries in the area that are associated with the minerals.

What is the model here because I'm confused.

# Manto is close, but the Yanacocha is the model mine as it is in the same formation with separate felsic intrusive association in 9 podlike sources that form the bulk of the ore.

# Montoya discussess these new sandstone hosted deposits of which the Yanacocha is a type in the Engineering and Mining Journal.

anything about your URL!!!)

# I don't know what you mean. One URL is:
