Anyone care about a little good news/things are better story?

St. Paul is having a major flood right not. But nobody outside town knows about it. That's OK because a major flood is no longer a big deal here.

St. Paul is a river town. Over the course of the last 75 years the city has come to terms with the fact that the river is going to flood, regularly. Gradually changes have been made to live with that. Whole neighborhoods have been torn down. Roads have been moved. A few levies have gone up. Plans have been made.

So today, the river goes 2 feet above flood stage it really isn't a big deal. 75 years ago it would have been a national disaster story.

And sturgeon are back spawning in the St. Louis River.
