I agree with you that allying with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan is never a very good move, at least in the long term. Both countries just go with whomever serves their purpose at the time. I was REALLY ticked that they let those Saudis fly out of the country after 9/11 when every other plane was grounded. Most of the hijackers were Saudi and the guys that had probably funded them were able to just leave when they wanted to. The Saudis, Qatar, and Bahrain FUND all these Sunni Jihadists, so you're very right in saying THAT is where the nests are.
