Edward Jones headquarters office is in St. Louis where they have over 7000 employees. They have over 12,000 local offices all over the U.S. and do not maintain any office on Wall Street. I have a relative who has a high level position there with them, and have become somewhat acquainted with the company, although I do not maintain any accounts with them. I am really surprised at your description of the house call as they are a very successful high integrity company. Simply, they manage investments for individuals who are incapable or not interested in DIY as most of us here are. As sometimes happens with a company one over zealous employee can damage their reputation. I doubt the would condone as policy and practice what you described.
