Off Topic, Mr. Surething.

Be careful with Indo nickel-colbalt laterite deposits. You are hopefully aware of the quite different economics for laterites vs. nickel-sulfide deposits like VB or Sudbury. Presently it takes a lot of hydro-electricity to refine laterites to get the metal out of the clay--very similar to aluminium refining. INCO's 3rd quarter report claimed much of PT INCO laterite nickel production is shut-in due to the El Nino drought; as reservoirs needed for the hydro-electricity are drying up (just another chapter of the bad times in '97 for INCO and the Indonesian mining industry.)

If your super interested in laterites, you may wish check out Nord Pacific's Ramu Ni-Co discovery in PNG(?) as well--some of my X-DFR buddies got real interested in Ramu last year after INCO bought VB.

Good Luck but be careful, T.
