It was intended to be distributed to industry insiders and was mainly to promote the company. At that time, Obama hadn't had any publications at all. So he was just filler material to bulk out their client list. It is unlikely he ever saw the booklet. When Dreams From My Father came out in 1995, the original dust jacket stated that his father left Hawaii when Barack was 2. It didn't mention that he was born in Kenya, which if he was making the claim in that time frame. why did he neglect to do that on his first book? Given that he took a different agent after his book went out of print, the company didn't have a whole lot of incentive to making changes until his book was brought back into print.
