>> Obama once had my respect, but he lost it.

I can't say I ever had much respect for him, but had he done something to deserve it, he would have had it. Very early on, I could take a wait-and-see attitude.

I am just not sure what ted thinks Obama has done to earn anyone's respect. Mistakes happen and anyone can make a few of them. Within a month or two it was clear the problem was beyond mistakes; it quickly became about arrogance, intransigence, defiance, and division. Those are not characteristics of someone you have any respect for.

After the first month or two respect was off the table from my POV. It was just a matter of trying to get through it without too much damage.

And we need to start by respecting the current president.
Obama once had my respect, but he lost it.

You think we need to respect him simply because he's the first black president.

No, I think he should be respected because he's the president. I didn't like it when reporters laughed at Bush for his gaffes even though I hated the fuck out of the guy for what he did to this country.........the pain and misery he caused us. After all, he was president too.

You all need to remember that if and when an R ever becomes president again............when the left shits all over him or her.
