>> In this climate, nothing will get done because we are so divided. So forget amendments.........I doubt we will make it as a country for another 25 years. In fact, outsiders are beginning to predict our break up........just like they predicted the Yugoslavian break up.

So forget amendments? You were just congratulating the Framers for including an amendment process! Now, forget them. Just allow the president to make those decisions.

What you want is to have your cake and eat it, too.

But it has to be done through the process that was set out by the Constitution, not by a wannabe dictator.

>> Like I said, prove your allegations......prove to me that Obama is worse than Bush with Bush's multiple signing statements. Truth is you have nothing. You just don't like a Dem and a black man leading the country in which you live.

There is nothing wrong with signing statements. The problem is when they violate the law. The number of them doesn't matter; it is the character of them.

And no one who is paying attention to this subject sees Bush anywhere near Obama on this topic. Some, like Turley, will argue that it began under Bush, but everyone sees that Obama has taken it to a whole new level.
