The amendment process isn't dead but it is necessary to use the Convention of States method rather than Congress, because Congress has become so corrupt. The CoS amendment process is alive and well but very difficult. As it should be.

The country is a mess, but that is to be expected: You can't turn over the operation of biggest organization in the world to someone who can't manage and whose ideas are extreme and who is willing to try to grab power for himself. And those who support the power grab, regardless of ideology, are asking for the country to go downhill.

It is something that should not be that hard to understand: You cannot expect the country to progress if you willingly fork over power to one party or the other. It was, after all, the division of power that kept the country together for 200 years.

We now have a group of people in power who believe power grabbing is an acceptable way to run the country. This is a dark road, indeed, and I am pretty sure you will regret one day having supported it.
