Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) soon replacing Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) in the majority leader spot, could lead to action on immigration reform this year. Again, "reform" means what?House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said Thursday that he spoke with McCarthy on Wednesday, urging the incoming majority leader to bring an immigration bill to the floor. Bring a bill to the floor that says.....what? ---- The proponents of allowing illegal immigrants to remain in the country somehow NEVER explain their plan clearly, I think because they'd quickly get kicked out of office in the next election. They call it "reform" which sounds good, but doesn't mean anything. They might as well say they want to "improve" US immigration policy. That also sounds good. But, if they say they want illegal immigrants to stay in the US and take low end jobs legally, sorry, that's BAD and doesn't resonate with much of anybody other than the illegal immigrants' relatives who have made it in legally. Reform this!
