I really agree with what you are saying. Our economy is Globel and it does matter what is going on in Asia right now. It does affect the Tech area, but it should not be used as an excuse as some companies and analist are using. Lets face it a lot of the TECH stocks are over valued and are now starting to come in line where they belong.

Paul,

Bond yields are very high when one compares the true yield on a US bond! With inflation as low as they say it is our bonds should not be yielding much more than 3 1/2 to 4%! So can you please tell me what is wrong? Either we have alot higher inflation than the gov. is reporting or our bond yields will continue to drop in the coming months! And even with rates dropping does not mean we will have a continued bull market in equities!

<Typical economic cycles end with inflation and high bond yields which are responsible for the fall in p/e. Looking at p/e alone is a good way to fool yourself.>

Paul I do agree with you on the above statement, but I'm predicting we are not in a typical economic cycle at this time!

<But none of these problems are due to Asia per se.>

I'm also glad that you see that the Asian crisis is not the problem to the high tech sector also, for I tend to agree with you on that! What really scares me is if it ever becomes a factor then we are really in for big problems!

What do you think about my earlier post about having wage inflation here and the feflation being exported to this country with goods!

Hank
