You don't seem to understand the fact that what the bill SAYS and what Obama DOES are two different things. Reading the various bills tells you nothing.

You answered your own question.

proponents of such plans are afraid to express their goals in simple and clear language. If they did, the electorate would reject the plan.

They use obscure language on purpose. Thanks to their having near total control of our education system, they're confident most people are incapable of complicated thought processes over and above the level of an 8th grader.

The say "reform" rather than "let a bunch of illegal aliens gain permanent residency and all its benefits".
The term that they actually use when they mean amnesty, is calling for "Comprehensive" immigration reform.

The House is willing to pass some parts of immigration reform such as additional slots for higher education graduates (Masters and PhD graduates) and allowing the spouses of green card holders to work, but the Democrats are holding out for "Comprehensive" immigration reform or nothing.

This is is just like Obama Care; the Senate shoved so much crap into the "Comprehensive" bill and then then they say you have to pass it to find out what we put in it.

I really hate Harry Reid and the Senate way of doing things. Every bill should be split up into pieces and each piece should be voted on separately.
