There's no market size here. PC Anywhere and Laplink hold the cards. They're limited to substantially slower transfer speeds and don't have the breadth of devices addressed in comparison to Tut's DSL-like technology, but is there added value for speed or breadth in the SOHO market? And at a substantially higher cost? This article is another one of these blow some small thing out of proportion because the author needs to say something weighty. If you invoke MSFT, you get the Stamp of Significance. I was surprised about the recent news from Tut. If I were Tut, I would try to cut a deal with one of those above mentioned vendors for their market presence and access to customer base in conjunction with MSFT. Sounds like MSFT is getting worried about its monopoly and so is dashing around trying to embrace anything.
