Investment timeframe is the key. If you're looking at days or weeks, sentiment drives price. If you're looking at months to a year, it's products, both in the market and in the pipeline that should be considered. If it's "years" that we're talking about,the quality and vision of the company's management becomes the most important variable to consider. Intel's management has proven it has the ability to adapt. Single digit growth in the future? IMHO, not!
