Supreme Court rejects appeal by Google over Street View data collection
L.A. Times ^ | 06/30/14 | Andrea Chang
Posted on 7/1/2014, 9:10:55 AM by Enlightened1

e U.S. Supreme Court has decided not to hear an appeal by Google over whether it violated federal wiretapping law when its Street View mapping cars collected consumers' personal data.

That leaves intact a federal appeals court ruling that the U.S. Wiretap Act protects the privacy of information on unencrypted in-home Wi-Fi networks and means Google can face lawsuits over the matter, according to a Bloomberg report.

The issue stems from Google's Street View, a comprehensive mapping program that provides images of areas around the world. Google has admitted that its camera-equipped Street View cars inadvertently captured emails, passwords and other data from unprotected wireless networks as they drove by.

In a statement, a Google spokesman said the Mountain View, Calif., company was disappointed that the Supreme Court had declined to hear the case.

In March 2013, Google agreed to pay a $7-million fine for collecting personal data from millions of unsecured wireless networks while operating its Street View fleet. The fine settled an investigation of the data collection by 38 states and the District of Columbia.

As part of that agreement, Google promised to educate employees about the privacy of consumer data and sponsor a public service campaign to teach people how to secure their wireless networks. Google also agreed to destroy the data it collected.

US Refuses to Admit Palestinian Authority Involved in Terror

.........................................................................................................................
Jewish Press ^ | July 1st, 2014 | Tzvi Ben-Gedalyahu
The US State Dept. ignores Hamas terrorists because "technocrats' are acting as a front for the Palestinian Authority unity government.

The U.S. State Dept.’s position is that it does not know that Hamas was involved in the kidnap murder of three Israeli teenagers and that despite continuing missile attacks from Gaza, it is “reviewing” events to determine if the Palestinian Authority unity government is “abiding by…the pledges that they made” to refrain from violence.

Israel has categorically identified the terrorists as members of Hamas, and it is no secret that the terrorists from Gaza, where Hamas officially is part of the unity government with Fatah headed by Mahmoud Abbas, but – no – the government of the United States is “reviewing…circumstances on the ground.”

Hamas terrorists kidnap and kill children and try to kill Israelis with missiles, blowing up factories and hoping to blow up children in a kindergarten, and the United States is “reviewing circumstances on the ground,” as if it is has a front row seat in a horror movie, except that this is live action.

“Would Hamas’s involvement in something like this[kidnap-murders] be cause for the Administration to rethink its support for the Palestinian – the new Palestinian Government?” Associated Press reporter Matt Lee asked State Dept. Spokeswoman Jen Psaki.

She solemnly answered, “We do look at all kinds of information as it relates to our relationship with the Palestinians, our relationship with any entity that we work with. So I’m not going to make a prediction. I don’t know what the outcome will be of the final findings.”

That is what the State Dept. does – it looks at information. If it furthers its agenda to expel Jews from all of Judea and Samaria and most of Jerusalem, Foggy Bottom doles it out to the hunger media hacks looking for more ammunition to shoot down Israel. If it does not further agenda, it files it away under “delete.”

That explains Psaki’s comments on missile attacks.

Lee asked, “There were also, I think, 14 – more than a dozen rockets that were fired into southern Israel from Gaza today. Is that something that would make you rethink your position as it relates to the Palestinian Government?”

No chance, at least not for now.

First of all, Psaki explained from her agenda pamphlet, the United States is going to take the really bold action to “review” circumstances to see if the Palestinian Authority renounces violence.

So does kidnapping and murdering three young yeshiva students and shooting missiles at Israeli mean that the unity government has not renounced violence?

No need to worry.

Psaki reassured everyone, “We expect, and President Abbas has on many occasions also renounced this type of action. And there’s a certain responsibility in conveying that to any entities that the Palestinians are tied with.”

But not even the State Dept. can fool all of the people all of the time.

“If I shoot you at the same time as saying I renounce violence, that doesn’t really make much sense,” AP reporter Lee said and then added, “what you’re saying, though, is that apart from the teenagers – because we don’t – you don’t know – you’re not sure of the circumstances – just the rocket attacks themselves are not cause to have you rethink your relationship with the government.

“You think right now that they are abiding by the requirements?”

Guess what? Hamas is not involved in the government.

Psaki, reading from her Agenda 101 book, recalled that the “technocratic” government “doesn’t involve members of Hamas… [and] obviously, when there are incidents of violence, when there are rocket attacks, those are certainly cause for concern and we take every incident into consideration.”

Thank God, the Obama administration will show its “concern” but it also can save face for the Palestinian Authority.

Psaki assured us, “President Abbas has, as you know, renounced violence. He has condemned attacks. He has been a cooperative partner in an effort even with as it relates to the three teenagers over the last several weeks. Does that change the fact that we are concerned and could certainly condemn these rocket attacks and other incidents that occur? Certainly it doesn’t change that, but again, this is not a black-and-white issue.”

Why doesn’t the government of the United States of America simply call a spade a spade and say that the Palestinian Authority unity government is involved in terror and that condemnations are not the same as stopping it, especially when Abbas constantly praises his “martyrs”?

The Obama administration cannot do that because that would mean there is no more peace process.

So get used to it – kidnaping, murder and missile attacks are part of the peace process so long as those inciting the violence and condemn them and so long as the “technocrats” act as a front for Hamas.

Now you understand?

If you do, you are a candidate to work for the Obama administration.

PA Silent on Condemnation and Complains to UN About Israeli Aggression

The State Department and the Palestinians seem to be on the same page.

Gaza Rocket Salvo During Funeral of Teens
INN ^ | 7/1/14 | Ari Yashar

Terrorists from Gaza launched a salvo of rockets towards the Eshkol Regional Council on Tuesday, during the very hours that hundreds of thousands attended a funeral in Modi'in for the three teens who were abducted and murdered by Hamas terrorists on June 12.

Reports indicate that the rockets, whose number remains unclear, all fell in open territory causing no injuries or damage.

Security forces are searching the area to locate the rockets after residents reported hearing several explosions. The "Color Red" rocket warning siren was not sounded.

At least four mortar shells were fired from Gaza in the assault according to Yedioth Aharonoth.

The attack comes as part of an escalating uptick in rocket fire from the Hamas-enclave; earlier on Tuesday morning four rockets were fired, after several more were launched in over Monday night.

A total of 15 rockets were fired at Israel by Gaza terrorists overnight Sunday and on Monday morning, mostly peppering the Eshkol Regional Council.

Woman suing Obamacare exchange dies...
.......................................................................................................

The Las Vegas woman died Monday, less than two weeks after her family went public with details about Nevada Health Link insurance exchange enrollment troubles that kept her from treatment in January for an aggressive brain tumor.

Rolain was one of about 150 Nevadans suing Nevada Health Link contractor Xerox for enrollment mix-ups that left them without the health insurance they paid for.

Rolain is the first to die of complications from an illness said to have gone untreated for lack of coverage. But observers close to her case say she may not be the last.

“We are worried that this is the first of many Nevadans who have life-threatening issues that may end up in such tragic circumstances. We urge all Nevadans to verify that their insurance is active and in place in light of the many problems that hundreds, if not thousands, of Nevadans have gone through,” Rolain’s law firm, Callister, Immerman and Associates, said in a statement.

Local insurance broker Pat Casale, who in May began to help Rolain with her enrollment issues, said he wouldn’t be surprised if there were at least another 100 Nevadans facing both coverage problems and “urgent and emergent” health care needs.

“I know a few that I have right now (are) in serious need of care — people who have actually paid premiums and have not received care,” Casale said.

Rolain’s husband, Robert, said the couple began trying to sign up in November, well ahead of the Dec. 15 deadline for January coverage. After wrestling with repeated sign-up problems, the Rolains bought a plan that took effect in March. But they said Xerox staffers miscommunicated the policy’s effective date, so they didn’t know until May that they had coverage.

Linda Rolain was first diagnosed with a brain tumor in early 2014, after a seizure in late 2013. Robert Rolain said in a June 19 news conference at the downtown Las Vegas offices of Callister, Immerman and Associates that his wife’s care was delayed for months because of their insurance troubles.

Robert Rolain alleges his wife’s tumor went from treatable in winter to fatal in spring as the couple fought for coverage.

Linda Rolain was admitted to hospice care in early June.

A Xerox spokesman said in a statement that the company would not “be able to comment on this tragic development.” A spokesman for Nevada Health Link was out of town Tuesday and could not be reached for comment.

Casale blamed the coverage mishap on Xerox’s “ineptitude” and “inability to get paperwork and to process things through to” the Rolains’ insurer, Nevada Health CO-OP.

“This poor lady was told in January that she needed immediate attention,” Casale said. “Her doctor said if she had begun treatment in March, he might been able to give her quality of care, and she might have lived longer. She had no chance because of the delay.

“Ms. Rolain should have had coverage in January. (The Rolains) did everything they could to facilitate the acquisition of a health plan,” Casale added. “She suffered and she died all because of the negligence of a vendor who should not even be in the industry.”

The Silver State Health Insurance Exchange signed a $72 million contract with Xerox in 2012 to build Nevada Health Link. But software glitches kept legions of consumers from enrolling in plans when the health link opened on Oct. 1. The exchange enrolled just a third of the 118,000 sign-ups it targeted in its first year.

The exchange’s board decided in May to replace Xerox as the health link’s contractor. The exchange will borrow federal eligibility and enrollment functions in November while it looks for a permanent replacement system for 2015’s enrollment session.

Callister, Immerman and Associates filed its class action lawsuit on April 1 after Las Vegan Larry Basich ran up $407,000 in uncovered medical bills despite paying several months’ worth of premiums through Nevada Health Link.

Attorney Matthew Callister said on June 19 that he would seek faster legal action for gravely ill patients, including Linda Rolain.

“Some of our clients are so ill that if their needs are not addressed now, it is a matter of life and death,” Callister said.

Intifada Missouri – Anti-Israel activists may push Ferguson over the edge

Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion by William A. Jacobson

While no one knows if there will even be an indictment of Officer Darren Wilson in the killing of Michael Brown, leaked evidence including an autopsy report raise the possibility there will be no indictment.

If that happens, the streets will be on edge, and it will not take much of a spark to set the city on fire worse than ever before.

As much tension as there is, an underreported story is the active role of “pro-Palestinian” activists who have exploited the Ferguson riots and tension this summer and fall to push their anti-Israel agenda. That anti-Israeli agenda, which involves encouraging confrontation with police in solidarity with Palestinians, is helping provide the accelerant to an already volatile situation.

It started with a propaganda campaign over the summer when Brown was shot. On Twitter and elsewhere, anti-Israel activists started tweeting messages of “support” for protesters in Ferguson, including advice on how to deal with tear gas.

It was a highly organized effort to exploit the Ferguson tension and co-opt it into the anti-Israel cause:

Check out plans for #Palestine2Ferguson Contingent during #FergusonOctober: t.co pic.twitter.com/qLA8TExLv6

— End the Occupation (@US_Campaign) October 9, 2014

Tying Ferguson to Gaza is a major theme in this weekend’s national Students for Justice in Palestine conference being held at Tufts University in Massachusetts.

This type of co-opting now is a common tactic on campuses and elsewhere, including trying to compare the U.S.-Mexican border fence to the Israeli security barrier (built after several hundred Israelis died in suicide bombings in 2002-2004) in order to forge alliances against Israel. It is a highly racialized tactic, using verbiage of colonized “brown people” versus white colonizers.

It also has involved a propaganda campaign to blame Israel for the killing of Brown because a former St.Louis County police chief three years ago attended a one-week anti-terrorism program in Israel. Presumably some Ferguson officers also have attended various training sessions routinely given in the U.S. and elsewhere to police departments, but the one-week training in Israel by someone who wasn’t even on the job when Brown was shot was enough for the usual suspects to try to blame Israel for everything that happens in Ferguson.

. @RaniaKhalek The Ferguson cops did not receive training in Israel. The former STL County police chief attended a weeklong seminar in Israel

— Nurit Baytch (@NuritBaytch) August 18, 2014

It also was claimed that there was an Israeli connection because both Israeli police and Ferguson police use the same type of tear gas container, made by a company in Pennsylvania. Think about that. Just because Israel buy tear gas cannisters from the same American company the Ferguson police buy from somehow makes Israel responsible.

It defies any logic, but it is spread far and wide, including by NY Times reporter Robert Mackey:

Jamestown, PA's CTS brand tear gas fired in #Ferguson tonight t.co in the West Bank last week t.co

— Robert Mackey (@RobertMackey) August 18, 2014

And the Israeli far-left wing 972 Magazine.

That’s how anti-Israel propaganda works. Pick some irrelevant connection between Israel and someone who allegedly does something wrong, and then claim Israel is responsible for what the other person did.

This is not a lightly taken tactic. Several anti-Israel groups were active in the Ferguson protest weekend in October, under the “Ferguson to Israel” banner (and Twitter hashtag) including Code Pink (whose Medea Benjamin just returned from an anti-Israel conference in Tehran:

Yes! @medeabenjamin & @MsJodieEvans with @Anna_Baltzer of @US_Campaign. From #palestine2ferguson end racism! pic.twitter.com/9lD7w5oq7o

— CODEPINK (@codepink) October 11, 2014

Multiple anti-Israeli activists plastered their #Palestine2Ferguson photos all over social media and websites.

#Palestine2Ferguson justice for ALL contingent pic.twitter.com/MDVsdTu1Y0

— AsianLawCaucus (@aaaj_alc) October 11, 2014

This International Solidarity movement activist, who helped organize human shield operations by activists in Gaza this summer, is among many anti-Israel activists making the comparison between Gaza and Ferguson:

Ferguson and Gaza: how they are and are not similar t.co #FergusonOctober #Palestine2Ferguson pic.twitter.com/9BxkJBQNBq

— Joe Catron (@jncatron) October 11, 2014

These groups were not shy in advocating protest. Nothing wrong with that, but the Palestinian-Ferguson protest advocacy has actively encouraged confrontation, such as this Students for Justice in Palestine activist:

From occupied Palestine we stand with the oppressed in #Ferguson#FreePalestine #FergusonRiot pic.twitter.com/AyqCTns3pS

— Abbas Sarsour (@iFalasteen) August 14, 2014

The oppressed stands with the oppressed. #Palestine stands with #Ferguson. pic.twitter.com/hxK94VqfsO

— Abbas Sarsour (@iFalasteen) August 14, 2014

But there is one anti-Israel activist who actively is trying to provoke a confrontation between protesters and police, even taunting police in crowd situations about losing their guns and hoping they die.

His name is Bassem Masri.

Masri presents himself as a journalist, but the mask is off.

Masri has been touting anti-Israeli conspiracy theories while organizing Ferguson protests, via Free Beacon:

Language Warning

Angry protesters in Ferguson, Mo., shut down CNN’s live broadcast Monday night after repeatedly heckling the reporter and cameraperson for working for an organization “run by AIPAC” and “Zionists.”

The heckling is audible in a video filmed by protester Bassem Masri, whose Twitter profile touts the Palestinian cause and reads “long live Palestine.”

“You fucking lie about Ferguson; you lie about Occupy Wall Street; you lie about Palestine. You’re all run by Zionists,” one protester said. “We’re holding y’all accountable.”

The hecklers threatened to shut down future CNN broadcasts. “They’re an AIPAC-run agency,” Masri said. “Don’t even think that we won’t.”

Much more ominously, Masri appears to be directly fomenting violence, as a local Fox affiliate reports on his presence in a crowd protesting an unrelated shooting of Vonderitt Myers Jr. in St. Louis One man’s protests push police to the limit:

Here`s an inside look at one of the most angry protestors, who`s lighting up social media over Ferguson and the deadly police shooting on Shaw. Fox Files investigator Chris Hayes sat down with St. Louisan Bassem Masri.

A crowd chants to officers, “Whose streets? Our streets. Our streets. Our streets.”

It was October 8, the night an off duty officer shot and killed Vonderett [sic] Myers Jr. Crowds surround officers who back away.

A man holding a cell phone says, ‘What the f*** you doing here bro, get the f*** out a here with your coward ass boys.’ It was Bassem Masri who said this as he streamed video that was live at the time. Masri yelled at an officer, ‘Coward straight pig out here bitch! You gotta go. Your life is in danger homie.’

People appear to feed off of his energy. Masri told an officer, ‘What happens when we take your gun?’ That officer then protects his gun. Another officer protecting his gun was answered with screams, ‘He has his hand on his gun!’

Then citizens surrounded him and chanted, ‘Shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot.’

At one point you can hear Masri tell officers, while pointing at each one, ‘I`m praying for your death and you death and your death and your death.’

Language Warning:

Israel has nothing to do with whatever did or did not happen in Ferguson.

But anti-Israel activists rarely care about the truth, it’s all propaganda for the cause.

But this propaganda, and this agitation, actively is pushing for a confrontation between police and protesters in Ferguson, in which people are likely to get hurt. And the activists like Masri will be there to take the viral videos and photos.

And that’s the point. Just as Palestinian and supportive Western leftist activists encourage children to throw rocks at Israeli police so they can get the video of the police arresting a child, so too this is all about the photo- and video-ops.

And it may push Ferguson over the edge.

Obama Admin: Palestinians Who Throw Molotov Cocktails at Israelis Are Not Terrorists

Washington Free Beacon by Washington Free Beacon Staff

The Obama administration insisted Monday that a Palestinian who was killed by the IDF while attempting to throw a Molotov cocktail at Israeli civilians is not a terrorist.

The Palestinian, a teenager with U.S. citizenship, was shot on Friday and buried this weekend wearing a green Hamas headband. The Obama administration said in a statement on Friday that it “expresses its deepest condolences to the family.”

At a State Department briefing today, Associated Press reporter Matt Lee asked spokesman Jen Psaki whether it is appropriate to offer deepest condolences to the family of someone killed while attempting to carry out an attack on civilians.

“There are reports … that [the Palestinian teenager] was throwing Molotov cocktails at cars on a highway, and I’m wondering, if that is the case, would you still have been so speedy in putting out a statement and offering your condolences to the family?” asked Lee. “The argument that is being made by some in Israel is that this kid was essentially a terrorist, and you don’t agree with that, I assume,” Lee continued.

“Correct, we don’t,” replied Psaki
. Lee then asked whether the fact that the teenager was buried wearing a Hamas headband was “of concern at all.” Psaki replied, “I just don’t have any more on this particular case.”

Palestinians Being Evicted in Gaza-- BY EGYPT
...............................................................................................................
FrontPage Magazine ^ | November 10, 2014 | Moshe Phillips and Benyamin Korn

Gazans are being evicted from their homes, a curfew has been imposed, and a crossing that enables Gazans to leave has been closed. Yet the world is silent. Strange, is it not?

Hundreds of residents along one of Gaza’s borders have suddenly been ordered to evacuate, on just two days’ notice. Their homes are to be demolished. There is no talk of compensation.

Why isn’t the United Nations Security Council denouncing this outrage?

Because it is the Egyptian government, and not Israel’s, that is doing the evicting. See the New York Times, October 28 edition.

The Egyptians have decided they need a buffer zone along their border with Gaza. They don’t trust the Hamas regime, which they say has been assisting terrorists who have been attacking Egyptian soldiers in the Sinai. Apparently Cairo does not accept the Obama Administration scripted fiction that the new Hamas-PA government is run by “technocrats.” Egypt understands that a Hamas-appointed “technocrat” is, first and foremost, a functionary of Hamas.

Of course, the Egyptians could establish their buffer zone along their own side of the border, without evicting anyone. But why should they yield their own territory when it is Hamas creating the menace? So they are kicking out Gazans who reside along the border, and setting up a buffer zone that will be nine miles long, and with water-filled trenches that will be more than 500 yards wide — that’s half a kilometer, or five football fields.

Yet nary a word of protest from the White House, nor any suggestion of delaying any U.S. arms deliveries to Egypt.

That’s not all. In response to the recent attacks in Sinai, the Egyptians have imposed a dawn-to-dusk curfew all along the Egypt-Gaza border. In other words, no resident of that part of Gaza can leave his or her home after dark, for any reason.

Yet Thomas Friedman has not written any columns in the New York Times with heart-rending stories about Gaza women being forced to give birth in unsanitary conditions because they can’t travel to the local hospital after sundown.

Egypt has also shut down the only crossing along the Egyptian side of the Gaza border. With the passageway closed, no Gazan can get out.

So where are the snarky political cartoonists depicting Gaza as a Holocaust-era ghetto?

Nor is Secretary of State John Kerry warning of Egypt becoming ostracized and isolated in the world.

Western academics are not threatening to boycott their Egyptian counterparts.

J Street is not lobbying for U.S. intervention against this new assault on Gaza.

It’s the ultimate example of the double standard. Israel does it, the world screams. Egypt does it, the world is silent.

Could the hypocrisy of the international community be any more blatant?

Evidently, if they genuinely cared about the well-being of the residents of Gaza, the White House would be holding up arms to Egypt — exactly as it held up Hellfire missiles to Israel. If he were sincerely concerned about Gaza, Thomas Friedman would be blasting the Egyptians on the op-ed page of the New York Times. If they truly wanted to help the Gazans, J Street’s lobbyists would be working overtime to get the Obama Administration to intervene against Cairo.

But the truth is that they don’t really care about Gazans’ welfare at all. The Palestinian cause interests them only if it presents an opportunity to bash Israel. When Palestinians are squeezed by their fellow-Arabs, the State Department and the pundits and the “peace camp” fall silent.

So let’s all learn an important lesson from this experience. Israel and its supporters should stop worrying about the latest Thomas Friedman diatribe or the latest J Street conference or the latest unfriendly remarks by the Obama White House and the State Department. They will go on blaming Israel — and excusing Egypt and other Arab countries — no matter what. Nothing Israel does will ever satisfy them — so there’s no point in trying.

“The sheep generally do not like the sheepdog. He looks a lot like the wolf. He has fangs and the capacity for violence. The difference, though, is that the sheepdog must not, can not and will not ever harm the sheep. Any sheepdog who intentionally harms the lowliest little lamb will be punished and removed. The world cannot work any other way, at least not in a representative democracy or a republic such as ours. Still, the sheepdog disturbs the sheep. He is a constant reminder that there are wolves in the land. They would prefer that he didn’t tell them where to go, or give them traffic tickets, or stand at the ready in our airports, in camouflage fatigues, holding an M-16. The sheep would much rather have the sheepdog cash in his fangs, spray paint himself white, and go, “Baa.”

Until the wolf shows up. Then the entire flock tries desperately to hide behind one lonely sheepdog.”

Who Coordinates A.N.S.W.E.R.?

Brian Becker is the co-founder and National Coordinator of A.N.S.W.E.R.
Co-founder and brother, Richard Becker, is a member of the organization’s Steering Committee.

In 2013, Brian was interviewed outside the White House while protesting against a potential bombing incursion into Syria.

According to DISCOVERTHENETWORKS.ORG, Brian is “a former member of the Secretariat of the Marxist-Leninist Workers World Party (WWP).

“In [Brian] Becker’s calculus, American history is a narrative punctuated on every line with injustice and oppression. In July 1999 he mocked U.S. government leaders for ‘speaking so piously about human rights in countries that they have decided to attack,’ and for spreading ‘war propaganda’ designed to ‘divert attention from their own [sordid] history.’ Specifically, Becker explained that the U.S. had not become wealthy and powerful by means of ‘the so-called 'magic of the free market’ or ‘the purported virtues of capitalism,’ but rather as a result of ‘the accumulation of wealth from slave labor’ as well as ‘the theft and the genocidal ethnic cleansing of millions of Native Indian people.’”

Also according to DISCOVERTHENETWORKS.ORG, Richard Becker’s past displays, at least, an equal zealotry for Marxist-Leninist ideology.

In this YouTube video (4:23), Richard Becker tells an interviewer that “capitalism is leading the world to destruction” and how the solution is a “system based on meeting human needs in a sustainable, long-term way. If people look back at Lenin and do so objectively, they see the person who was the single most impactful leader of the 20th Century.”

The interviewer asks Richard, “What about the human suffering that so many people suffered during the transition as Lenin pushed forward with socialism?” Richard answers by attributing that suffering to “serious mistakes” made by Lenin’s successors.

In comparison, he has written that “No one in the world … has a worse human rights record than the United States.”

The Becker brothers make no effort to hide their commitment to Marxist-Leninist ideology and anti-capitalist beliefs.

Who Funds A.N.S.W.E.R.?

That is a question not easily answered. An effort to track the money trail that funds A.N.S.W.E.R. surfaced one relatively recent, significant source – the Progress Unity Fund.

According to the Form 990’s from 2010-2012 for the Progress Unity Fund (PUF), 167 Anderson St., San Francisco 74110, PUF granted a total of $278,458 to A.N.S.W.E.R. during those three years. (It also granted $5,336 to the Partnership for Civil Justice – in 2010.) The PUG mission statement begins:

“The progress of humanity today is directly linked to the creation of unity. The Progress Unity Fund has been established to help break down the barriers of divisiveness and discrimination that exist in the world, and replace them with a sense of solidarity.”

A two-bedroom, 901 sqft. house sits at 167 Anderson St., San Francisco 74110.

A 2006 Human Events article entitled “Who Funds Pro-Amnesty ANSWER Group?” stated that “Since ANSWER’s inception [2001], PUF has given $147,987 to ANSWER as revealed on their IRS Form 990, a hefty amount considering PUF generated only $219,370 in revenue in 2004.”

The article noted that, in 2006, the Progress Unity Fund and the San Francisco office of A.N.S.W.E.R. shared the same address.

Human Events also stated that PUF’s Form 990 “lists Brenda Sanburg, Rosa Penate and Keith Pavlik as officers of the organization, all three of whom have written for the WWP’s publication, Workers World.” In 2006, Rosa Penate was affiliated with A.N.S.W.E.R. and Keith Pavik is now among the 24 key members identified by Liberation, the “newspaper” of the Party for Socialism and Liberation. Pavik is also identified as the current designer of the PUF website.

Additionally, in 2006, Human Events identified several other funding sources for A.N.S.W.E.R.:

“ANSWER also received money from a wealthy ‘social justice philanthropy,’ called the Vanguard Public Foundation, which is also connected to PUF through grant exchanges. VPF gave ANSWER $7,000 directly in 2004 and gave PUF and IAC [ International Action Fund] lump grants totaling $11,250 from 2002-2003. VPF has also sponsored anti-war protests that ANSWER supported. In 2002, VPF donated $116,391 to an anti-war march on Feb. 16, 2002, and $69,535 towards “Stop the War Marches” in March 2003. The Alliance for Global Justice, an anti-free trade organization that focuses on Latin America, has given ANSWER $28,958. ANSWER, AGJ and the Mexico Solidarity Network also share the same Washington, D.C., office.”

Why is A.N.S.W.E.R. in Ferguson, Missouri?

A.N.S.W.E.R. is doing in Ferguson what it does best – organizing street protests by gathering a coalition of groups and individuals.

A list of the ad hoc coalition for a march in Ferguson includes persons from recognized national organizations (e.g., NAACP, New Black Panther Party, Nation of Islam) as well as local politicians and community leaders. One person on the list told the author that A.N.S.W.E.R. had provided “training” to the “Justice for Michael Brown Leadership Coalition.”

Here’s a condensed version of the “Leadership Coalition” demands:

1. …Darren Wilson…immediately fired from Ferguson police department…and vigorously prosecuted for the murder of Michael Brown.

2. …St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert P. McCulloch [removed] from the case involving Michael Brown.

3. ...Attorney General Eric Holder and Missouri State Attorney General Chris Koster…investigate the policies and practices of…Saint {sic} Louis County, Saint Louis City and other municipalities throughout…Missouri, that have demonstrated a legacy of racial profiling.

4. …Missouri State Auditor Tom Schweich…audit…local municipalities that have demonstrated a history of racial profiling. We demand accountability of how much revenue is being generated from traffic violations and how these funds are being spent.

5. …Ferguson Mayor James Knowles and Police Chief Thomas Jackson…resign…and if not we will call upon the people to immediately do a recall of the Mayor of Ferguson.

Conclusion: A street team – a political cadre – and a team of lawyers stand behind the A.N.S.W.E.R.Coalition signs on the streets of Ferguson.

Next: The Party for Socialism and Liberation and its ideological and operational alignment with A.N.S.W.E.R.

Yossi Dagan, the head of media relations for the Samaria Regional Council filed a formal complaint Tuesday with the Government Press Office against a CNN reporter for equating the terrorists involved in the HAR NOF massacre with the victims.

According to Dagan, American CNN reporter Ben Wedeman was responsible for the headline describing the massacre under the headline. "Israeli police shot dead to Palestinian civilians" - when in fact, the shooters were Palestinian terrorists who killed four Jews and wounded eight others and they prayed the morning service before being killed in a gun battle with police.

"CNN's strange headline is a direct continuation of a series of other reports in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that appeared recently," the letter said, and noted for example that the report on the car rampage near the Jerusalem light rail last month by the Associated Press began with the title "Israeli police shot a man in East Jerusalem."
