Here is a confirm on the ATM acces market value:LANDOVER, Md., Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Yurie Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: YURI) led both the worldwide and the North American ATM Access Markets for 1996, according to the 1996 WAN Market Statistics Summary recently published by Dataquest, a leading provider of market research and consulting in information technology. Dataquest's report segments the ATM access market by equipment speed, ranking separately equipment which operates at 2 Mbps and lower and equipment which operates at rates in excess of 2 Mbps. The report ranked Yurie as the #1 worldwide provider of greater-than-2-Mbps ATM access multiplexers with 34.4% of the market share and the #1 North American provider with 37.8%. Dataquest's market share findings are based on 1996 revenue from product shipments. In securing the top spot, Yurie outsold contenders ADC Kentrox, NetEdge Systems, and Digital Link. In North American sales, Yurie outpaced second place NetEdge Systems by ten percentage points. Dataquest's market analysis predicts strong growth for the high-speed ATM access equipment market over the next five years, projecting an increase from $173 million in 1997 to $1.1 billion in 2001 (representing a CAGR of 63.1%), as more and more carriers and corporate networks deploy ATM in their backbones and thus increase demand for access concentrators, which convert legacy traffic to ATM. (article continued) It does differ slightly from your lower number, but it's better for us. .344 * 173 is 59.5 mil (Yuri's share). That'd leave 26 mil left for fourth qtr sales. Not quite likely, but it would be nice. I could see 20 mil or more though. Maybe 22 if we are lucky.
