I find those (lefty) people funny and smart, part of the time. I enjoy watching them even though I retain my own perspective. I am no more aligned with them than with Rush. They all take licence to entertain by exaggerating and sensationalizing events and issues. They are all media whores. The part I enjoy is the informative part and I appreciate that they put themselves under public scrutiny, which takes guts. I don't like that part of what they do which is just intended to humiliate persons on the other side of the political continuum. Whatever inode's opinion of others is, he has shown his willingness to stick with the topical discussion here, employing conscientious consideration and reason in a fair manner. Your unwillingness to explain your positions or follow the path of discussion to logical conclusions comes across at best as a weakness and at worst as an admission of personal failure.

I think you conflate wittiness and quickness with intellect and they aren't the same things. Often, more brilliant individuals are those who take time with their thinking and get it right. All of those guys are quick and good public speakers, but as we've seen with our president you can be an excellent public speaker and have little in the way of real skill.
