This I do agree with you on. I'm not so sure they are headed to the dust pan of political parties though. Not when one looks at how good they are doing on the local and state level.

If they manage to get their way and it drives us into the next deep recession, smart Dems will have an opportunity to build an FDR-type of coalition that could take and keep power for longer than the Reps could possibly imagine.

That is all fine and dandy, but I think if the pubs ever get the type of power (all three branches of gov.) shrub had again, they will kill us all with their stupidity.

So no FDR trip.

I am sure the pubs will get both the senate and house in 2014, so Obama is all we will have between us and crazyland.

And I feel a huge war brewing in the ME and Obama is smart and sane, but will have to really put it out there to keep us out, as the hawks will be clamoring for war.
