I'll be back to you more particularly after I read the decision but you are generalizing about specific legal niches and nuances. The Justices don't pull their opinions out of thin air. They have to look at the competing rights involved and what the statutory language of the Religious Freedom Act says and what Congress said, if anything, about what its intent was when it passed the Act. What you are doing is akin to complaining about a basketball referee's call without understanding the rule(s) on which it was based.
