See my response to Alex as to my updated thinking on the decision..

It would be better IMHO to discuss when, if at all, a corporation does take on attributes of a humans that should, or should not, accrue to it legal rights that humans possess. After all Alito is right about the fact that the corporate entity it is just a way of organizing large groups of humans and their activities.

Now what should be the legal implications of that fact is the question. After all, if 5 Supreme Court Justices say that entity has some of those human characteristics then that is the framework of the discussion IMHO. Not that we have to agree with them, but those opposing that conclusion would be better served IMHO to make rational arguments as to why the Justices shouldn't come to that conclusion.
