I own an international fund because some Yahoo finance guy suggested it would perform well, and it has. I bought it because I trust the guy not because I know all the companies composing the fund. I haven't looked at the specific companies held by that fund and don't consider that to be hypocritical with regards to anything. At most it implies laziness on my part because if I found the companies in that fund to be contrary to my principles, I probably would drop it. I'm assuming they are not until someone advises me otherwise. That isn't hypocritical because I generally give others the benefit of doubt until they show me they are not worthy of my trust. I even like bill clinton for a while.

There is a good chance Hobby Lobby doesn't know what they own, and an even better chance that Don is full of crap ... as usual.
