CJ,
So polygamy being illegal is unconstitutional because some Mormons take having multiple wives as a tenet of their faith? Or that murdering homosexuals is ok because the Hadith says to? Same with the halakha? How about those religions with animal sacrifice? Or cannibalism?
Polygamy will be legalized on the same grounds as gay marriage. It's only a matter of time.

Legalizing murder or cannibalism based on religious belief has never been defended in court. Ever.

I'll let you continue making your silly analogies. The only one you're trying to fool is yourself.

Murder is an attack against someone and a nearly universally accepted violation of their rights.

Not having to pay for something some one else wants isn't an attack against them at all. The government should protect people from others that attack them, but that doesn't require imposing a vast and shifting series of mandates on people.

"Or that murdering homosexuals is ok because the Hadith says to?"

Would you mind posting that Hadith?
