Off Topic - Ed, all those factors, Asian currency crisis, Bre-X aftermath etc have been built into Weda's ridiculously low share price. As for alternatives to leaching, I understand they have explored several solid alternatives such as a natural gas powered smelter.

It seems to me that all mines now, whether it be in Voisey's Bay, British Columbia, or Indonesia, have to face political uncertainty. I am confident because the fellows running Weda know their way around that region.

As for Bre-X, pardon me for my naievity but was that not a made in Canada scam? Was Indonesia and all the other mining companies there also not the victims of this "Canadian" scam. I don't see any litigation aimed at the Indonesians. From what I understand, those mining and exploration companies still operating in Indonesia have few complaints about the government.

best wishes
