It was supposedly year 1.

Your sense of victimization is showing again. There was no concept of a national Christmas holiday until the mid-1800s.Congress regularly was in session during Christmas until 1855. And many Christian sects didn't celebrate it at all. To think of it as embedded deep in the traditions of the country would be wrong.

I am not advocating they get eliminated, that is yet another one of your straw men. But, I would like to know why no other religion has their own holidays recognized? When I was a kid my father worked at a jewelry store. True to the stereotype, the owner was Jewish(Reformed). The store took off on the Jewish holidays and Christian ones were often work days. It is a very different schedule.

Again, your sense of entitlement is staggering.
