And as a reflection of American taste, it's just flat-out bizarre. But taht's waht I LIKE about it. You look at the stuff, you try to imagine who'd buy it, and why, and waht he or she would then do with it, and waht the reaction of friends and family members might be. You may also imagine--this is one of my favorites--how the "item" came to be produced in the first place. Who said: "Hey, I've got this great product idea!", and why did his colleagues not have him institutionalized immediately? I can spend many happy hours..
