The sanctions cost Russia an awful lot. Yup. More than I thought they would. And they came on top of that very expensive Olympics. Longer term, Europe is accelerating their efforts to wean themselves from Russian energy That is key. The Euros should have weaned themselves much sooner. I love when my German friends start mumbling when I ask them questions on this topic, or worse, try to defend Putin. The Germans esp fooled themselves for way too long about Putin and the Russians IMO. and we are going to stop using the space tech. That's good too. I sure Putin's rich, oligarch buds are having a fit.
