Back in the 50s one of the top SF writers, believe it was Bradbury, described a civilisation on a planet in orbit around a double star. In particular his imagination of sunsets and -rises were fascinating. Back then I read them all, but Bradbury took the price IMHO, and that was a couple of years before he even reached multi star status around the high brainers.
