Had Bush's father not put the ideologue Scalia and Thomas, his echo, on the Court, Gore might have been able to claim the election he had won

He would have withstood the theft of Ohio by the GOP, but Florida's vote being neutralized, and then his brothers state being awarded to Shrub by judicial fiat was too much to overcome

Historical facts that scream at the Dems failure to overhaul election laws when they had majorities in both houses and the POTUS

Failure to address these egregious flaws in the face of known Republican proclivities to hijack elections, will in all probability be a factor again in 2016

Hopefully we won't wind up at the mercy of the Roberts Court to anoint the next president

I don't mind the religious exceptions for RELIGIOUS organizations (not Hobby). I think it strikes a balance between the two competing interests of church and state. I mean would you force Catholic hospitals to perform abortions? Not that they would.

What we have to be on guard here against is what the military calls "mission creep". Which IMHO is what the "Hobby" decision represented.
