Yes that is part of it as wealth for those at the top has skyrocketed to record levels versus everyone else. Ironic we have all these wealthy conservatives living, working and playing in the best hoods of our big blue cities. But there is much more to it than just this Koan.. Can start with more expansive fed intervention at every cycle in recent decades, anti development sentiment in what are all land constrained coastal markets, rapid ghettos expansion post Great Society all putting an added premium on the shrinking supply of desired higher end property the fast growing well to do and high earner crowds would chose to buy..
