Well, RE Midas Fund, here's this. I think the 1% sales charge has been dropped.

Bonnie, I think you may be onto something. I am thinking about seeing if Q&R handle Midas for IRAs and maybe switching what's in CEF into Midas. Looks like more leverage and pure upside.

Bonnie,

I have some precious metal no-load funds and a couple of small gold stocks, which are of course way down. I am thinking of dumping most of it and putting the money into Barrick Gold.

My reasoning is that some of the smaller mines are no longer profitable, whereas Barrick has a cost structure of about $190/oz and has sold gold forward for at least a year and probably two or three years.
