Well, if I were simply arguing on the basis of authority figures, I would certainly take the guy whose done a great deal of research on the Japanese situation over the one who is just blowing smoke to get a column written. The first is Krugman, of course, the second is this guy at Forbes. Waste of time to read this stuff. Best to find someone who can actually make a decent argument about the relation between the Japanese experience and Keynesian theory.
