Sorry Tim, that is conterfactual. Pumping more money into an economy is going to cause it to grow faster. That is pretty intuitive and it has facts to back it up. Granted, if applied too vigorously, it can lead to inflation, that too has historical proof, but inflation hasn't been a problem for a while.

The stimulus did prove you can't fill a $2.4 trillion hole with $800 billion. It just wasn't up to the task, although it did help.

But to claim they never work just flies in the face of too much evidence that they do.
