The 25-times Tour stage winner suffered a separated AC joint after colliding with Australian Simon Gerrans (Orica-GreenEdge) as Giant-Shimano’s Marcel Kittel won the stage and with it the yellow jersey.

ouch.... i had one of those long ago.... including breaking the shoulder blade... my damned 'friends' went to visit me at the hospital and would tell me jokes KNOWING that laughter caused me incredible pain, due to the fracture.... damned bastards

sorry to hear this about this guy Cavendish... hope he recuperates quickly... and he is back in cycling soon...

i do not particularly follow cycling that much.... but from time to time i watch a little of the tour de france... (as right now) but don't know much about it... big difference between cycling... or worse motor-bike racing.... way riskier than auto racing..... in a car you have the tires, chassis, and heavy duty helmet to protect you..... in cycling.... and motor-cycling...... you are the chassis (or part of it) and if you fall, you are going to hit things very directly and heavily.... i suppose cyclist and more particularly motor-cycling racers must have a high disregard for personal injury -lol

yes, accepting responsibility is a big deal indeed.....

Robben admitted to diving in the mexico game, (no penalty). he is a RAT. a good footballer... (but still a rat) -g
