Agree with what you say about wealth re distribution. But then how do you prevent the mighty and the powerful from preventing others the opportunity to go out and make the wealth. The " hard working" capitalist wants us to build the roads and waterways so that that goods produced by the capitalist can be transported to the market to be sold to make the money. So why shouldn't we require to pay his fair share for the road as well as the profit.

Socialism is what leads to the yawning inequality that is accelerating in this country. When you take from one man to give to another, you destroy the incentive to work for the man you take from. What is right and just is equality of opportunity, not equality of pay.>>

This primitive incentive theory of yours is very simplistic and does not take into the account about a million important variables.

First we are humans not animals and can think. Secondly in a healthy society the people who are strong give a hand to those who are not as strong.

If society gives people a free education, the people will change. They learn how to think and make money and take care of themselves and society.

And they will do just that. Every country I know of that provided free education did well because off it.

Besides, it is the rich, not he poor that are taking most of this money you and the rest of the right wingers think is being taken from you unfairly----by the poor.

It is the plutocrats who have all the power, causing this inequality, not the poor with no power!

The rich have all the power. The poor have no power. So use your head. Who do you think controls the congress. and the free money?

Look how much free money Geithner gave to the rich. He didn't give squat to the poor or middle class.

If you doubt this just look at who is in jail!
