"Sure. Started there." LOL!! Didn't ask you where it started. You said it was a very European thing, implying that it was almost exclusively in Europe. The VAT/GST is employed in almost 160 countries around the world. Only 53 countries in what is considered Europe participate in a VAT/GST scheme, while another ~100 countries around the world also participate in this taxing policy. I think those numbers speak for themselves, as far as effectiveness goes. "(except for the rare globally/bureaucratically inclined few such as yourself). " Well, thank you..
