I see reality as it is today. Pretty simple.

Somehow you think Giving people free stuff procured from the efforts of other people brings out the best in humans.

I see it exactly as the opposite. Giving people free stuff makes them dependent and leads to them demanding even more free stuff... which brings out the worst of humans... once again, Look at Chicago which has significant problems despite all the welfare.
