Raising the minimum wage should be something both (R)'s and (D)'s can totally get behind. It stimulates the economy ((D)'s love that ) by getting more money to people who will SPEND IT, and it does it without any sort of a tax increase ((R)'s love that ). Sure, some marginal businesses will fail, and prices will go up slightly, but the benefits would be enormous. Not only that, it pushes wages up all up the line. Line managers will be paid more, then middle managers.
