What's your opinion on the illegal settlements, Sam? Have you watched this Australian documentary? youtube.com I don't think there are any good guys. Let them rot in their mutual hatred. Any sympathy Israel won from the WWII suffering of the Jews has been lost through their own actions.

My apologies for dragging you into this back and forth. But my impression of the sequence of events went as follows. The three teenagers are killed. Among the many things the Israeli government does is to start attacking Hamas sites in Gaza, which seems disproportionate. Hamas fires rockets back. Israel mounts a larger response. And Hamas and Israel are off to the races. So, my reading is the trigger was not the Hamas rocket attacks but the disproportionate Israeli response to the killings. Can you comment on this?
