Dave, I presently use both Waterhouse and Kennedy Cabot for my naked options selling. It was much easier to get the approval from Waterhouse for my options trading. I had to write an essay to Kennedy Cabot on which strategies I would use and what I would do to minimize my risk before they would approve me. This next week should prove to be very interesting. We have earnings reports coming out form 3 COM, Micron Technology and Speedfam. It be interesting to see what MU has to say about future cap expenditure spending. This market is very touchy right now. Any negatives in the forward guidance could cause substantial carnage in the whole tech sector. I would be very careful if one were thinking about establishing a position in AMAT at this time. I would protect myself at the time of purchase by buying a put
or selling a deep in the money covered call against the position. I believe that preservation of capital is more important than getting rich at this stage of the game.
