Not for the life of the bond. With a healthy economy, comes growth. With growth comes inflation. With inflation means the the payback is even less. Plus there is additional tax revenues that reduce the need to borrow. Do you think we paid down the debt of WWII? We didn't. We just outgrew it. I thought Republicans understood economics? This is a perfect example of being penny-wise and pound-foolish...
