There is a friggen difference. We are talking about a philosophy that hurts people! That is not OK!

With the Jews it was always terrible blatant racism based on nothing. They were not hurting people.

Jews have actually been leaders in humanitarian behavior. Their "modern" culture is not racist, sexist, or homophobic. In fact the Jews I always hung with were almost all secular, intelligent and great humanitarians who hurt no one.

What I am objecting to is a culture that hurts people. You don't see me saying anything about Unitarians-loll.

Jesus Christ almighty.. It is not OK for anyone to hurt people.

In Sweden it is against the law to spank your children. That is how civilized societies behave.

IMO complaining about religions fucking with politics and discriminating against people is not "doing something" to the religion. It's not like we want to take any rights away from them- we just don't want them taking over the state machinery. What is "doing something" is trying to get your religious nonsense codified to hurt people. Your church wants to try to coerce people that sign up to be coerced in your church- fine. Branching out to make your religion law- hell no.
