Where does it say t hat the independents have turned against Obama. I heard this line also in the summer of 2012 but in the end Obama got re elected. The independents would not vote for any extreme brand of politics. And the middle-of-the-road Republicans acknowledge that and hence the difference with their Tea Party colleagues. Let us wait and see all over again how Ted Cruz fares in the Republican primaries. The Republican voters who take part in the primaries are not that stupid to go for Cruz, I think.

But you're trying to paint ALL independents as such. Oh that's simple. MANY independents were former Rs.......and MANY of them are white. Is English a second language for you? In our language the words many and all have different meanings...

Ted, I'm sure there are a lot of bigots who left the Republican party but haven't changed their views. But you're trying to paint ALL independents as such. No, I am saying that many of the independents who left the GOP still think like an R. And some of those independents were racist when they belonged to he GOP. Like I said, you're desperate to avoid having to explain why independents have turned on Obama. Desperate? I don't no where you get your shit from but there never was any world where all the independents loved Obama. In 2008, he won a simple majority [52%] of independents, and by 2012. that number was 45%. He never had that many independents to begin with and a drop of 7% points is hardly a revolt. But what I find interesting are these stats: Look at the basic breakdown of Mr. Obama’s victory, according to exit polls (which may yet be revised). He won 93 percent of African-Americans, 71 percent of Hispanics, and 73 percent of Asians. He took 55 percent of the overall female vote, down only one percentage point from his comparable 2008 showing. Mitt Romney, meanwhile, won about 59 percent of the white vote. That’s the best a GOP nominee has done among whites since 1988, and not too long ago such a performance might have guaranteed a winning margin of 270 electoral votes.
