I got actual rebate checks back in 2007 and 2008 for installing tankless hot water heaters, spray foam insulation, energy efficient windows, etc, in my house (rebuilding after katrina)... this program is no longer active... guess Bobby Jindal would rather spend the money on teaching creationism in schools

I remember researching the local solar panel industry but their weren't many options at the time and the cost was not cheap

Right and that is a good policy. But I was referring to stimulus money; that stimulus money should have gone to the individual instead of Corporate America.
