I was way off<g> Compared to the original, "Mov(C ,50 ,e)- Ref(Mov(C,50,e),-15)", after looking at about 10-15 charts, and to my beginning eyes, it seems that the variable version seems to pick up the downward trends earlier than the orig.version, though 50/50 on earliest pick uptrend pickups. You agree? <<You need to put up a price chart of a favorite stock and apply all 7-8 MAs that MSWIN has with periods set from 5-200 just to see how they react with price.>> I did this w/ a fixed time,using all types.
