Ah- well if fools want to be foolish voluntarily, I have no problem with that. Although I do feel sorry for their innocent indoctrinated children who have little chance of escape. And I'm not in favor of any restrictions on the right of children to access medical care because of their parents' affinities for imaginary friends. That's madness- and child abuse, as far as I'm concerned.

Every religion is full of cafeteria types. Take what you like, pass on what you don't. The Mormon church already has a history of giving up basic tenets passed down from it's founder to get by in modern America. They gave up polygamy lest it be forced on them by Federal troops and to become a state. They gave up racism when they realized that just wouldn't sell in 1970's America. They're VERY flexible, comparatively. They so desperately want to be regarded as just another branch of Christianity. They'd LOVE to be regarded as Christian, but weird, like the Amish.
