Having said that, though, it's hard to argue against the tide of negative opinion coming Obama's way. To see that in the face of good economic news says a lot about how the public views Obama these days.

Agree.

However, we also need to ask if this is a trend or is it a outlier. Also don't lose sight of the fact that the party who is not in power, the Repubs over here, are working in overdrive to malign the party in power. The Repubs have learnt their lessons very well from the 2012 Presidential elections where Obama defined Romney so early on that Romney had no room to define himself when he thought he was ready to do so. I see that happening to Hillary right now and to support that effort they are also rolling this poll results to define Hillary's party and the incumbent.

Interesting political plays going on.
